David Y. Kabanda’s life is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the redemptive power of God’s grace. Born in Lubumbashi, Congo, his early years were shaped by hardship, including the loss of his father at a young age and the turbulence of a challenging environment. At the age of thirteen, he faced the heartbreaking loss of his mother, which marked a turning point in his spiritual journey.
Amid grief and uncertainty, David encountered the love of Jesus Christ, and from that place of brokenness, God began to shape his life for purpose and Kingdom service. His unwavering faith carried him through seasons of war, persecution, and adversity, ultimately leading him to the United States in 2000, where his mission continued to unfold.
David is both academically and spiritually equipped for transformative leadership. He holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Investment, maintains Investment Securities Licenses, and is a certified Mental Health Coach. He is also a spiritually ordained minister, combining financial wisdom with deep spiritual insight. Currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, David remains committed to empowering individuals and families in both their spiritual and financial journeys.
His studies in theology and psychology allow him to minister holistically—guiding people not only in their walk with God, but also in emotional resilience and personal growth. A loving husband of over 15 years and father to three beautiful children, David leads with humility, strength, and a vision rooted in the Kingdom of God.
As the founder and lead elder of Shekinah – Kingdom Ready Nation, David is devoted to upholding the mission of Jesus Christ—calling people back to God, teaching Kingdom holiness, and raising up disciples who walk in truth and power. This ministry is a beacon for those seeking purpose, healing, and a deeper connection with God.
